Mark, One thing I've learnt over the years is to be completely honest with Police, RTA and Insurance companies. If you're not, things inevitably turn to sh*t, especially in the case of motor vehicles and you have the misfortune of being involved in an accident that's not even your fault. The first thing both parties assessors will do is check your VIN & Engine # and modification listing against your rego documents and what he finds on your vehicle - these guys are professionals and they've seen it all. Guess what happens to you if you've hit a Merc and you've not disclosed.

Ultimately i think i will probably need to get a certificate if it is required, i am not real keen to do it dodgey but i am just curious to know what other ppl have done cos i have seen plenty of them around without engineers and i simply can't afford one!
