I'm using a Starion intercooler on my current 1600, it's smaller than a VR-4, with 2.5 inch outlets ( 1 3/4" standard) it's dimensions are 21 1/2" total width, 8 " height, 2 3/4 " depth, it fits behind the grill without any body work, except for the piping holes, which sit closely to the headlight openings. Not a huge flowing unit but good for a fairly mild street car and cost less than $100.
