Its a z18et.
Here's the mods:
Engine: Totally rebuilt, new pistons,
rings, bearings. Completley balanced everything.
Mildly ported and polished intake ports, Medium port job and polished
exhaust
ports.
Induction: Standard manifold "cleaned up",
bosch 036 blue injectors, nissan RB30
throttle body and injectors are on 1/2" stainless custom built fuel
rail.
Turbo: Nissan/Garret T3 from nissan RB25det
engine. Internal wastegate with electronic
boost
control from wolf 3D computer. Tubo mounted on custom steampipe
manifold
Exhaust: Home built 3" mandrel bent onto 3A
racing stainless bullet muffler. 3" catalytic
convertor, 3
Inch dump pipe with custom integrated split entry to separate
wastegate gases.
Intercooler: Custom built tube and
fin to facilitate no metal removal from front of car.
Fuel system: 800ml surge tank fed by holley
blue pump, VS V8 efi fuel pump onto 3/8"
fuel line onto fuel
rail then onto malpassi rising rate adjustable pressure
regulator, 5/16" return lines.
Driveline: Lightened(but not
stupidly) flywheel, brass button 4 puck clutch and
1800pd
pressure plate, nissan 71B 5 speed
gearbox
Management: Wolf 3D Version 4 using wolf
crank angle kit, M&W dual port ignitor and
one dual outlet coil onto standard dizzy(will be upgraded to full multicoil
in
the future)
I think that's everything, I've only just
realised how much has been done to it when its all down in front of you.
As I said it won't get tuned for about 2 1/2 months, but should be interesting
when it does. I'm not too concerned about running huge boost (probably
up to a bar) as I want something that is quick and
reliable.

Subject: WOOHOO It finally
runs!!!!!!!
Hey guys just for those that are interested, i
finally got my car to
idle!!!!!!!!! After three months and spending a
good part of my holidays
working for the dough and then spending it, my
fatihfull 1600 finally has a
running engine in it. It took a bit of
fiddling with the injector
pulsewidths on the Wolf 3D but I GOT
THERE! Unfortunately I don't have time
to take it out to the old mans
work to tune it on the dyno as I fly back to
uni this arvo. Needless
to say I can't wait to get back here next
holidays!!! I'll take some
pics of the install before I leave and hopefully
have them available for
those interested in a few days!
Best part of all, I've done the whole lot
myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheers
Daniel Kroehn
(I'm already
out the back door about to turn the key and listen to that
sweet turbo
exhaust
note!)
