I am sorry, but 300 KPH in a datsun 1600?
You cant be serious.

They aren't the most slippery shape in the world and at that speed, aerodynamics would be playing a pretty big part. Surely they would hit a brick wall WELL before 300khp?

That would be damn close to 300KPH, assuming its a .85 ratio 5th. Tyres?

I've had the fj20 doing 8,000rpm in fifth gear with a 3.54:1 diff and largeish 215 by 65 509 yokies.Dont know what speed that was but it was hauling.
