I tried my luck once, I took pictures of street luge  (where they lie on
their backs and fly down big hills).  I had an old fully manual Pentax with
some 400 film.  I set the shutter speed to 1000th of a second and snapped
them as thy went past right in front of me...  I was surprised how good they
came out... ofcourse they were going about 80k/h cars are going a lot faster
sometimes ;)

These things look and sound awesome as they thunder past.  I also have a
shot of one guy stopping himself... they sit up and put their feet down...
and they leave big skid marks and smoke billows off!
