YEah im a photographer... Press passes are fairly standard for events,
really easy to get. IF its something big, just say your from some
magazine (say for a V8 event your from a magazine called 'serious 8's'
or something silly like that... you could even say you were from ozdat
online...). If they get suss give them 'your bosses' phone number (ie.
give them a mates phone number). Ive done it a fair few times at stuff
that i take photos at.

As a general rule, either be below or above the subject. Straight on
angles are like a cliche in photos and usually look pretty poop.If
anyone is inteersted some of my photos are at ugzine.com (BMX photos
that is).

Cheers guys.

I tried my luck once, I took pictures of street luge (where they lie on
their backs and fly down big hills). I had an old fully manual Pentax
with some 400 film. I set the shutter speed to 1000th of a second and
snapped them as thy went past right in front of me... I was surprised
how good they came out... ofcourse they were going about 80k/h cars are
going a lot faster sometimes ;)

Here's one of the shots:

These things look and sound awesome as they thunder past. I also have a
shot of one guy stopping himself... they sit up and put their feet
down... and they leave big skid marks and smoke billows off!
