YEah im a photographer... Press passes are fairly standard for events, really easy to get. IF its something big, just say your from some magazine (say for a V8 event your from a magazine called 'serious 8's' or something silly like that... you could even say you were from ozdat online...). If they get suss give them 'your bosses' phone number (ie. give them a mates phone number). Ive done it a fair few times at stuff that i take photos at.
As a general rule, either be below or above the subject. Straight on angles are like a cliche in photos and usually look pretty poop.If anyone is inteersted some of my photos are at ugzine.com (BMX photos that is).
