Is
your cam timed properly? Check it is not a tooth out
the valves are std blue 202 size,but the head is
a 173 yella terra stage 3, that i had a local dude,Lyndon Little, massage with
his die grinder to improve some more. His initial thaughts were that the
engine would spin to 6500 no probs.
i am curious about the extractors, they were the
first production run of the genie 88e all those years ago. but we cut of the
final collector pipe as it was 2.25 inch and we wanted 2.5 inch out of the
collectorwhen we cut off the collector, the following pipe was pushed about
20mm into the collector. which i would think would make
turbulence.

My 202 has 10.2:1 comp,
HEI dizzy, 2brl weber off v6 capri (both throats work at same time), genie
88e extractors, ported head , big cam.
anyway, it doe not make a power improve ment
over 4000 rpm. power peaks at 4 grand and is the same at 5. i have changed
cams, the current is bigger than the last (which was a wade 877r 35/75
ish), but to no avail. It has plenty of bottom end. any
ideas?
