I don't think you can really call yourself a backyard Datsun mechanic unless you've had to do this atleast once! You don't have to remove the head - Ryan and I fixed his tensioner without removing the cylinder head. Makes it nice and easy to guarantee you have the cam timing perfect too, cos you can count the links between the crank sprocket and cam sprocket while you put the chain back on.
