Mark,

The original 1600 wheel has a switch on the ring that just completes an
earth and there is one wire to connect to the wheel off the original loom. A
PO may have changed things around a bit on yours if you don't have the wire
connected to the Momo but it should be tucked away in there somewhere. I
can't remember what colour it is and I don't think it's all that easy to
find on a wiring diagram either - I can find out the colour tomorrow if you
require.

regards
Terry

Subject: horn on sports steering

Looking for advice on wiring in a horn switch for a Momo wheel on a 1600.
From what I can see the original 1600 steering wheel might have pressed
a rod down to contact a leaf switch that's on the column. What's the go
with this - is simply making ground to complete the circuit? Solder onto
that then up to a switch in the middle of the steering wheel? I know
that ACT rego failed me years ago 'cos they caught me pressing a switch
on a console below the dash centre, I should've lent on the wheel at the
same time!

Mark.
