I removed it last night - mine is a Girling, reservoir is not 
detachable, piston bore diameter about 16mm, Mongolo Clutch & brakes had 
a look and didn't have one wih the 10mm line thread connection so I had 
this one re-sleeved and new seals etc.  a replacement was maybe going to 
be more - unless I could reflare the line to suit the imperial hydraulic 
fitting for the one off the shelf. Before that i had hoped Motorspares 
could identify it but they really had no idea what they were doing - 
told me it had a huge (22mm) bore and was probably a Holden unit (they 
incorrectly measured first opening not the bore itself!)

Though I hope never to worry about it again, it would be useful to note 
what it's off...BTW what's best to clean brake fluid off the firewire, 
metho?
