Put the handbrake on and the car in 1st gear. Get under the car and try and rotate the tailshaft back and forwards and push it up and down by hand. There should be no play at all in the uni joints... i.e. you shouldn't be able to move the shaft at all. If you can rotate or push it up and down even a mm or two then the joints are stuffed. Pretty easy to fix you can either replace them yourself or take it to a driveshaft place and have them do it. Just watch out for the gearbox oil which will run out the back of the box when you pull the shaft out. Also don't forget to top up the box again when you are finished.
As far as the diff, you won't fit an R180 into a live rear end 200B, they are for IRS only. Not sure what sort you could use, someone else should be able to advise.
