I shot a car at 45 psi and had the exact problem Richard was saying, dullness and overspray from quick drying.Used straight color w/out clear that time and spent a LONG time rubbing back orange peel to get a pretty average result. I found 40 psi was perfect also and also running 4 coats of color and 5 coats of clear(PPG), as opposed to straight color(cheap Brand X)  the 1 st time. This made buffing much easier and much more gloss. I waited 2 weeks to cut and polish and everything was pretty good. White is great if you're a novice like me :) But I'm hoping to spray my current project down the track and spend a lot more time .. I've seen some great paint applied in peoples garages and If you have the time you can save a lot and also learn something new which is really useful.
