I have been through that same discussion with a RWC inspector, about
stiffening the rear floor mounts.  Once I convinced him
A. It was the stock mount in the stock mounting position
B. Forces on that area act down not up,
he was OK.

I havent had to debate the front mounts which I think are by far the weaker
of the two and will be required to take much more load under accelleration
or a hit up the rear.
