Hello membersozdat, Now I'm really baffled. I just managed to get the tie rod end and ball joint free from the steering arm, only to find that the new ball joint has the right bolt pattern in it (as opposed to the first one I got), but the pin size is different, it would seem that the original pin is 14mm, whereas I have been sold a 12mm one - how many different ball joint setups did nissan/datsun use?? Is the one used in the 1600s a 12mm pin or 14mm?
