Hi,

I have been trying to find a speedo drive to suit my 240K 5 speed for a while now, i
have even pulled a drive straight out of a 240K and it doesn't work in my car - the
drive isn't long enough to mesh with the speedo gear inside the gearbox.
I think the g/box i pulled it out of must have been a 240K 4-speed (i didnt think to
check at the time..)
Do the 240K 4 and 5 speed boxes have different speedo drives?? If they do then i must
just have a 4-speed one...

Also, while i'm trying to find a speedo drive that works, is there a certain type
(colour, what car? etc) that would give me any sort of an accurate speedo? It's a 1600
with a 3.9 diff, and 195/60R14's.

At the moment i dont care if the speedo isn't accurate - as long as i have one! I have
been crawling along at what i think is 50 or 60 or whatever, but any bet i have a
couple of speeding fines in the mail soon!

Thanks,
Mark
