Hey all, A friend of mine just purchased a 1200 sedan with plans for a CA18DET conversion, but we need to know a few things first, and if anyone can help out with some advice or knowledge it would be great!
Firstly we need to work out what brake upgrades can be done to a 1200, preferably on the easy side. Do stanza struts and brakes fit?? Also what brakes will be required to get the car engineered with the CA? He has 13" jellybeans for wheels, will these fit over the upgraded brakes?? The next problem was the transmission tunnel - the 1200 is a manual so does this mean we will have to chop up the tranny tunnel to fit the CA box? Or does it fit okay if you use a stumpy R30 skyline box with the CA bellhousiing? Lastly the diff will have to be upgraded - is there any easy upgrades from other nissan donor cars like a bluebird maybe?? Also would it be necessary to get a disc brake rear end?? maybe from a bluey TRX?? Sorry for the long post but any info would be much appreciated!
