Richard,

Sounds like it could be fuel/air related then, i.e. running lean at those
rpms - what carbie(s) are you using? Blocked air bleeds can play tricks like
that.

Terry

Its most definatly a missfire (jerky feeling) but Im sure it backfired once
on the way home from work the other day. It seems to be under low load, ie
about 3000 revs while just touching the accelerator. I can plant my foot and
it stops doing it. Also when its warm (like today in melbourne) it doesnt
happen.... I guess its just keep replacing stuff till it works. could it be
fuel filter/fuel pump (faulty?) Im slowly running out of ideas... and
checking for hose leaks is a pain!!

Thanks for the help so far anyway,

Richard
