I need to "seal and secure and vent" my boot mounted battery to meet roadworthy standards. The motor registry said I'd actually need to seal the battery box - "use foam or something" he said. This is ridicluous in my view - how the hell can one seal a battery box like that with +ive & -ive cables from it? A Battery shop told me they can't get sealed boxes and suggested buying a maintenance-free, sealed battery - pity my old battery is just fine - is this my only option?
