Thanks for the info Kris and Rick,

I havent personally used armourall on my car but the PO may have. 
Also, as a lot of vinyl has been replaced (new roof linings etc), 
perhaps new material does it without additive??

I was a bit worried as I thought it may have been petrol or exhaust 
fumes getting in and accumulating on my glass :(
