I would be checking at a blockage such as the insect, or a stuck needle in
the fuel bowl.  Is the bowl filling to the mark? If not that could be the
problem.  If the bowl is filling it must be dirt in a jet/s.  Clamp you
hand, or a piece of wood over the carb, while cranking the motor, that can
sometimes suck a blockage out.
