If there is fuel inside, you should be able to see it squirting into the engine from the accelerator pump when you give the throttle a quick flick (engine off).

Well i think so because i took the hose of the carby end of the fuel pump and put it into a bottle and cranked it over and it filled up.... Any other ideas?
