Buy one and do it yourself. Remove all plugs, disconnect coil lead and hold
throttle wide open for 5 turns each cylinder.

Subject: Compression Testing

Hi All,

What should you pay for a compression tester? I want to get some
figures for my L26 to try to find out just how bad it is, I believe
one cylinder is down on compression badly just listening to it as it
turns over in the morning. The local mechanic will do it for $35-40
- let him do it or buy one myself?

Regards,
Bob
