Dunno about that. Have a look at the mega-fast 9-sec gtr's from japan (HPI/Zoom etc), they all tend towards long low-incident-angle wings. Your required angle decreases as air flow increases. Thus the faster you want to go the smaller angle you need. Of course, up until the point you approach that speed you have minimal downforce so unstability. The answer? Adjustable wings. I'm of the opinion that top speed in any car is limited by two things (assuming STP standard temperature pressure). Torque at the wheels at desired speed, and drag coefficient. With torque is a product of the engines torque at the required RPM and the driveline ratios. Oh and andrew, do you have a measured time from brett's speed day run by any chance?
