In case anyone is interested, Canberra has just installed a speed trap under the roads along northbourne avenue. By this I mean it has detectors that actually determine how fast the car is travelling when it passes over the top. This effectively means you CANNOT speed along this road. I just received two phone calls from my dad and girlfriend saying 'i just got a letter in the mail' so I am $200 out of pocket and I only just got all my points back. Was only going 10km over the limit obviously.
So they now have speed cameras, red light cameras and these things on this road, speeding will be a thing of the past soon.
