AFAIK, laser jammers are just 1/2 or 1 watt infra-red diodes mounted in an array around, or very close to the licence plate. You leave them on all the time.Should be easy and cheap to make, but hard to test!! They are supposed saturate the LIDAR beam and reduce its effective range, so you have that extra second or so to slow down - if you are speeding that is!
Fixed cameras use piezio sensors embedded in the road, so radar detectors won't be of any use. Qns...... I want to find out more about 'undetectable' radar detectors, and how they would work, any ideas? Does anyone know what a circulator is, or how a digital radar detector works? Do cops use radar detector detectors in towns and cities, or only on country roads? Has anyone used a UHF radio to listen to trucks warning each other about upcoming traps? Is it worthwhile, what channels do you use?
