Mark, I may be wrong but here I go any hows :O)
Cause on a carby engine throttle is vacume/throttle linkage controlled, as
soon as you decel, the fuel automatically slows a little, then the vacume
slows a little so there is no decell fitted.

On a injected motor, fuel is not sucked out the the injectors they pulse at
desired speeds at certain rpm's and the fuel is under pressure , decel
automatically knows when you relese the pedal and stops/ slows the injectors
pulse speed stopping the engine from being really rich ect ect.

So when you disconect the decell, the injectors will still be on lets say
full load, till the o2 censor picks up the fuel is rich, and tells the
computer to slow them down.

Idiling after stopping at the lights, will be for a sec a little rich, then
the o2 censor and puter will fix it and go to the desired, tuned pulse
speeds for idle RPM's.
This is my comprehention of EFI, I may be really wrong, but hea I have never
owned a efi car, or worked on EFI.

I am ready to be blasted down, if I am wrong, but hea isn't this how we all
learn??
