Is the 200B conversion hard to do?, ‘cause I am seriously looking at going to R&P (custom if I have to) in the future but would like to get rid of the spear column in mine and upgrade to a collapsible one.

yep, i had to pull the whole assembly out of the car. which you should do anyway as you most likely have a speer steering column like me which is not good. I am going to upgrade to a 180b box and 200b column, shroud and stalks etc

this might sound a bit obvious but did u undo the 4 bolts under the dash & the bolts on the fire wall ?

hi,  does any body  know the following:

 

how do u take the steering colum out of a 1600??????

the outer tube is  pressed/welded into the  flange , that has  3 bolts holding  it on the steering box.i undid the 3 bolts , and it wont come out..

and the  steering shaft that runs down the middle goes right into the box.........

i took the  plate of which  holds the adjusting screw, still i couldnt  remove it...

 

what am i doing wrong??

surley u dont have to remove the steering box???
