Subject: tie rod ends

I thought i would warn people that have extended lower control arms that
the tie rods ends that they are starting to sell are around 12mm storter
than they should be which means even less thread holding them on when
the control arms are lengthened.I was rebuilding the front end and
thought i would change the ball joints and tie rod ends while i did the
brakes.I ordered in 2 tie rod ends (TE437L&R) and when they tuned up one
was the right length and the other the new shorter type.It seems that
they are not making them for the 1600 anymore so they have substituted
something else into that part number. They ended up sending down every
brand they had but they were all the short variety.I had to ring around
everywhere and eventually found someone that had old stock with the long
ones.
