Hey Heath, As far as i know that would put you in improved production/road registered class. I think that the multiplier for the turbo is 1.6 so 1.809x1.6=2.8944 so you would be in the 2.0 to 3.0 ltr class. This is usually a small class consisting of only 2 or 3 entrants. I think there is a green VW that runs in that class. The RX 7's & other rotaries usually do as well as a 12a engine is considered 2.4 ltrs plus any forced induction cars less than 1.8 ltrs. the new supercharged mini was in that class last weekend.
If you put slicks on i think that it would be considered a sports sedan. hope this helps. jeff -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Cleary Signs Sent: Wednesday, 10 December 2003 3:50 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: some hill climb photos from last weekend - mt cotton Brisvegas Hi Jeff, car is a 1200 coupe, 1809cc twin cam turbo, and road registered, modified as CLASS 2 (what ever that means) Heath ----- Original Message ----- From: Jeff Oldham <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, December 09, 2003 1:00 PM Subject: RE: some hill climb photos from last weekend - mt cotton Brisvegas > Heath, > > when you join the club it doesnt matter what category your car is. > you nominate the category when you complete your entry form for each event. > > what sort of car & what mods ? > it will probably fall into improved production/road registered category. > you will also need a cams level 2s licence. > there a few minor things that you need to sort out for race day > > 1. road registered cars need a 3rd pary extension or rally extension > you get if from the 3rd party insurer on your rego - i use suncorp cause > there is no charge > 2. you need a fire extinguisher mounted on a metal bracket > 3. you need a catch tank for you radiator overflow > 4. you need secondary bonnet restraints - even an old belt will do the job. > 5. long clothes - no nylon - and helmet. > > email me if you have any questions & i will help where i can > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > Jeff > > > Jeff, > > i have forms ready to join MG, > but i must email them, because i don't know what catergory my car will fall > in. > as i want to know before i join. > > Heath > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Jeff Oldham <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Tuesday, December 09, 2003 8:54 AM > Subject: some hill climb photos from last weekend - mt cotton Brisvegas > > > > some hill climb photos from last weekend - mt cotton - Brisvegas > > > > Beaten by a mini - ho hum - oh well a big wad of cash next year should fix > > that ! > > > > http://www.mgccq.org.au/raceresultsdec03wayne.htm > > http://www.mgccq.org.au/raceresults.htm > > > > > > > > > > > > --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
