Yeah, go to a different licensing branch. Cops are very inconsistent with these things. Go to the O'Connor licensing pits, there's a big fat guy working there who loves Datsuns. He's got a 120Y with a L16 in it or something. He got a yellow sticker.   He has rebuilt the original FJ20e (to match his rego)   Rego people now want permits??     Can they do that?? They recon it is over 25% more powerfull than the stock L16, re the factory power outputs, so they recon it needs the permit.   How can this happen, this engine is on the rego papers.   Any ideas??
