I have 2x1 kg fire extinguishers in my 1600.
They are about $35.00 each from repco with a metal bracket.
Get a metal bracket cause if you ever race the scrutineers wont like the
plastic ones.

I mounted them on the metal seat mount at the front of the front seats.
they are out of site so nobody will be tempted to steel them
and I figured if they ever do come loose in an accident they are not going
to do major harm as they are at floor level they should only be able to hit
your legs which is better than your head. & they are still accessable from
the seated position.

cheers. Jeff

I have had a fire under the bonnet from an electrical fault, and I am
positive
there will be a few others on the list that have had them too. One of the
first
thoughts to run through your head is "Why dont I have a fire extinguisher?".
Mine was next to a petrol pump too. For $20 or so it is the best insurance
you
can buy for a car.

Bob
