Hardly anything worth while on the body, almost every outer panel is either rusted or dinted. The roof looks OK but roofs with A B and C pillars are a pain to store (and I already have one).
Tail lights are OK but both the front indicator lenses are stuffed. The side indicator bodies inside the front guards are surprisingly OK but the external bits are pretty sad. I should drop out the rear end out before taking the shell to the recylers, but I have one spare so I dont really need it. It also makes it easier to load on the trailer. A nice surprise was that the windscreen is new and some of the front suspension parts have been renewed not too long ago. The tacho wasn't working and I found out why, the impulse wires were not wired in! I will keep all these "little" parts and wiring, as my son and I have three '70 - '72 1600's between us and two are being refurbished. When these are finished I will know what is surplus. Then my son, probably with me, can tackle his '67 model. That will be a challenge to rebuild as it has some rusty lower rear quarters needing panel replacement, a piece of drivers side floor, the replacement roof I have stored, (it was walked on at some stage) and it has really ugly wiring created when someone installed a later model dash. ----- Original Message ----- From: Jeff Oldham <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Saturday, July 17, 2004 9:07 PM Subject: RE: no. 4 spark plug coroded > Rick, > > at least you can sell some bits on ebay. > its dam hard to find indicators & panels & things. > > Jeff > > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of rclough > Sent: Saturday, 17 July 2004 7:37 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: no. 4 spark plug coroded > > > Good to read that your carbs are now working as they should!
