This is correct.  The sway bar was bolted to the rubber bump stop bolts which protrude under the trailing arms at the centre of the spring mount.  These rear sway bars are a real pain when it comes to removing the tail shaft or exhaust pipe.

I had to cut one off recently to undo the tailshaft as all the mounting point nuts were rusted on.

Hi Mark,
I think the ends are mounted where the bumpstops are bolted in place. You would need to remove them to attach the mounting rods i would expect.

Subject: kmac rear sway bar

Does anyone have a kmac rear swaybar on their 1600?? I have picked up a second hand one but cant work out how the ends of the sway bar mount to the a arms…. I am thinking maybe there was some linkage with it that I didn’t get…

If someone has a photo or could explain how it works I would really appreciate it,

Thanks,

Mark
