I did get it running again and drove it into Balranald but it really wouldn't go over 70 clicks.
The #1 inlet runner is full of black soot like an exhaust port. Does this seem normal? I imagine the exhaust gas was running back up the runner and out the open inlet valves into the manifold.
As for the fingernail - I washed them before I touched the digital camera!!
