which reservoir errol?
or both
i know when i apply my brakes i get a surge in the rear
reservoir
i'll take off the shaft from the master and see if
the master moves back out any further
i have taken it off the pedal and it doesn't come out
any further
i have an adjustable rod (3 actually) they are all the same size, should i make the shaft
longer or smaller.
this sounds like the problem Errol, that it's not
releasing pressure
can it be an internal master problem, i found my MC box
its a JB4135
when i drive this car it gives me a great
smile!!!
thanks again
Heath

Subject: RE: brake problems (3rd try to
send?)
Heath,
Is
the piston in the master cylinder returning far enough to open the
transfer port and return line pressure to atmospheric..
As
you start to depress the master cylinder piston,. the transfer port is closed
of and pressure can be generated by moving the piston. As the piston is
returned to rest the transfer port must be exposed again to allow residual
pressure to be bled of and the line pressure return to atmospheric. The brakes
will work if the transfer is not being opened but will always
drag.
If
you look in the reservoir (with only a little fluid in it) as the piston
returns to rest position you should see a small surge of fluid returning into
the reservoir if the transfer port is being opened at the end of
stroke.
Keep
smiling
Cheers
Feral Errol
