Jeff,
The CA
box uses a longer mainshaft and extension housing than most boxes. They
also use different shifter forks, bearing sizes/grades and different
width gears.
The
older boxes have small bearings. Normally I go the other way and fit Skyline
RB30 N/A or SR boxes to early L4's and L6's.
I have just finished a hybrid MR30 stumpy
skyline housing with crack tested 260Z gears and also an RB30 gear set into an
early housing using the early output shaft.

bolting a ca18 box up to an n/a sr20de.
has anyone used am L
series 6 cylinder or 4 cyl 5 speed box on an sr20 ?
is it easy to do
