Joseph Melamed on "The Yiddish Voice" Joseph Melamed will be a guest on "The Yiddish Voice" (WUNR 1600-AM, Boston) this Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, at 7:30 PM, talking particularly about his experience as a partisan fighter during World War II, and also about the current controversial relations between the former Jewish partisan fighters and the present-day Lithuanian government, which has accused several former Jewish partisans of war crimes, and even accused Melamed himself of slander against Lithuanians. For further information about that, see the article in the Ha'Aretz newspaper: "Expelling the Ambassador" (Nov. 7, 2011, by Yossi Melman, http://www.haaretz.com/print-edition/opinion/expelling-the-ambassador-1.382986). This interview was produced and conducted by Hanna Palmon. Ms. Palmon, an Israeli, lives in Boston and is a teacher of Hebrew and Yiddish. The Yiddish Voice (Dos Yidishe Kol), Boston's weekly Yiddish-language radio show, is heard each week on WUNR 1600 AM from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM and live-streamed on the Internet at www.yiddishvoice.com.
