Hello everybody! Sorry for my 5 cents, but what about LG p920? Could it be also used/adapted or etc?
Thanks for any advice. - Sergej. ----- Ursprüngliche Nachricht ----- Von: Raju Bitter Gesendet: 09.01.13 12:46 Uhr An: [email protected] Betreff: [mer-general] Device recommendations for new community members / developers Which devices do the core developers use for Mer and/or NemoMobile development? Here are the ones I've seen mentioned so far: + Nokia N9 + Nokia N950 + Nokia N900 + Nokia N810 + CuBox + WeTab + PandaBoard + Beagleboard + Raspberry Pi + Lenovo Ideapad If someone is interested in becoming involved with the project and doesn't want to spend a fortune, which device would you currently recommend for someone a) interested in working on Mer b) interested in working on NemoMobile UI or other Mer based UIs? c) interested in doing app development for NemoMobile or Sailfish in the future? How much can be done without using a device and just running the emulator at the moment? At what point do you need to have a device (especially important for students with a lower budget). The N900's hardware seems very outdated, haven't tried with the N9 yet. N950 are almost impossible to get, as it seems. For Sailfish, of course it would make sense to wait until Jolla makes a device available, but since there's so much interest in Sailfish already, it would be good to show a path to get started for impatient developers (like me) already. - Raju
