yes :-).  Seriously, most of the hackfests I've seen were
simply opportunities for folks to get together, sit around
with laptops, and hack.  Some mentoring and/or discussions
happened when someone asked a question.

If some of the attendees want to work together on a given
project, that would be fine.  However, I'd prefer not to
have this imposed as a general structure.
