I have discussed this previously with dkubb from Datamapper, and mattetti and they both agreed it was a good idea.
http://www.merbherd.com On Christmas 2008, we will be launching Merbherd as a forum for people to ask/answer questions regarding issues they encounter running alternative ruby projects (merb, datamapper, sequel, etc). The goal is to then clear up the mailing lists for focus more on future development discussions and similar issues (not replacing them by any means). Originally this was going to be hosted with php or rails software (beast namely) however we felt it was best to have it use merb-related technologies. This forum will also be open to hosting forums for people running popular projects like merb-book. Providing a way for questions and discussions to take place outside of IRC. We will launch with whatever software is implemented by that time (hopefully most of the things we need) and are welcoming anyone who would like to contribute. The software will continue to be on github for all to use even after launch. Its a good way to give back to the community at this time of year :) Regards, Justin "jstad" Smestad --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "merb" group.
