Lister: Here are the results of the diagnostics for non-functioning aux. fan on our '85 300CD - it broke and needed replacing (not a fuse or other electrical malfunction).
Before it was replaced, the compressor started to screech due to a slipping clutch, so now that needs replacing as well [groan]. There are several brands of AC compressors, generally in the $200 - $300 range. Are there any brands that should be AVOIDED due to a high failure rate?
