General Q for bimby
Are the injectors used in a VW much the same as for say... a m615? I
have a nice salvage set of injectors (whole) from a 616 (75 240) and
got a box of VW/audi marked injectors in parts. These look much the
same for the upper body. Lower body is not same in length or thread.
Would internals be much the same? I am not brave enough to screw with
the MB set, but if the guts are the same, I may enjoy abusing more
salvage injectors in an attempt to learn rebuilding a set.

Hey, thanks for the reply
I'm just looking for parts that work correctly, I don't really
care about where they are made, just that they work.
I've heard there are Quality issues with the new Bosch nozzles
and Injector rebuilds. Where they are made is irrelevant to me. The
only reason I specified German is that's when they supposedly still
worked correctly. Like I said before this might be a load of BS, I
don't know, but would like to find out.
I AM IN NO WAY TRYING TO IMPUGN THE REPUTATION OF RUSTY OR YOU OR
ANY OTHER PARTS RETAILER!
My biggest fear is if Bosch is having Quality problems with the
parts for my old car, they will just stop making the part instead of
fixing the problem!
If someone has any NOS Bosch or MB nozzles that were made in
Germany, for a 617 turbo, and want to sell, I'll pay $35 each until I
get a set of 5. Russ H
