Thx Kevin (and others), Yeah, I;ll bet the brakes are a weak spot - we have a '89 Ford Full Sized Van (for sale) with a wheelchair lift (which adds a bit of weight) It's not what you want to be in when the stop light turns red! Same about the cross winds - it moves all over the road -- but the brakes really require the ability to anticipate problems --
Not sure if I should be even considering a land yacht at the time --- which would compound the weight and brake problem. The Van has disc/drums and I hope a quality RV would have disc/disc - which might help a little - Thx ya'lll Larry T (66 MGB, 74 911, 91 300D) www.youroil.net for Oil Analysis and Weber Parts Test Results http://members.rennlist.com/oil PORSCHE POSTERS! youroil.net 800-583-8601 Weber Carb Info http://members.rennlist.com/webercarbs ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kevin Kraly" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Mercedes Discussion List" <mercedes@okiebenz.com> Sent: Saturday, July 05, 2008 12:39 AM Subject: Re: [MBZ] 1986 Mercedes 420 SEL $500 perfect body - $500 (Micanopy) > My parents' 31' Winnebago Minnie class C (Ford V10) gets 7-9MPG while > towing > a 3200# car at 70MPH.
