I was basing the need for better brakes on the performance of the brakes on 
my 89 Ford Full Sized Conversion van.  The driver must anticipate stops well 
in advace of the stopping point - and this is with new brakes all around and 
little weight in the van.

But I;m sure you know of what you speak -
