That's what I mean, she sits up the front, whilst you are in the back waving to the peasantry as you glide past. Does this model have the rear reclining seat option. Perhaps you'll need some curtains in the back, so you don't have to look at the poor standing by the side of the road, bowing their heads.

If I get it running it will be for the wife, and I will take back over the SD until the motor finally blows up in that. Then I will either drop that 603 engine (if its a good one) in, or search for a 606 turbo engine to drop in it.

Pull off the rocker cover and you should see the broken guide to confirm the cause, then see if all the valves are valving. I doubt that there is a piston meets valve event, far as I know a motor with a bent valve will not turn over, unless it has done big damage, like a hole in the piston but that is unlikely unless the motor was doing high revs. Further if the chain jumped enough to bent a valve/put a hole in a piston then the other valves will be making contact as the motor turns. Of course you won't be telling the seller that. Then the next course of action I would pursue would be to pull the front cover off and check that everything is still intact (or at the very least make sure the chain tensioner is not damaged), then do a compression check to determine if the head has to come off. If compression is good, fix the front end and replace/repair the rocker cover and then flog it off to one of the natives for a profit, or drive it around feeling superior to the peasants in their E classes, perhaps buy the missus a chauffeurs hat.
