Sigh, it's always nice when you spouse says, dear the car did a funny thing on me today, so she discovered the hard way, well nothing got damaged or killed, that when she stop the 92 300TDt on the downside of a slight hill by our gate and put it into park, started to get out, the car
proceed to roll backwards on her.

She of course was not happy about this.

Also I noticed the transmission would not at idle hold it at a stop on a slight hill without starting to roll backward. Not that I use the tranny to hold it there, rather the time between taking foot off brake and over to accelerator is enough to make it start rolling

So anyone know what would need to be fixed? I'll assume one is the parking pawl, either is not engaging right
either toasted, or linkage?

PS we did change the transmission fluid 2 months ago, no one said anything about metal, nasties or other things in the pan...
