Replace the window channels. They are worn and too large, allowing the window to cock in the channel.

This will definitely hasten the death of the regulator, which is an absolute certainty anyway, they are REALLY flimsy.

Some dry silicone lubricant in the channel will help, but not much.

Are the vertical guide rails the place to dab a little lubricant, or is there something else that's likely to be binding? Is the MB sunroof "slide paste" the appropriate thing to use for this? It seems to work well on sunroofs!
