I confess I routinely drove my other (79 auto) 240D at 85 and held it there
on I 95.  Don't think I have had this one over 80 but it should do more.

Maybe you're babied little ride doesn't do 80 but my 240D has been flogged
up to the redline (86mph) and held there many many times, sometimes for an
hour or more at a time. ;)

OK Tom I have a  better idea-we will have ein Bommelmutze contest at the
ChowdahQ-you can start making and  selling them now. And for the record the
240D version only needs to meet 70 mph test for staying on die Stern
