Almost, it's commonly known as the PRV V-6, for "Peugeot-Renault-Volvo" who designed it together and each used it in some of their cars. Not a bad engine, but not a particularly good one either. The Delorean was a pretty slow, bad-handling car as sold, but according to reports both can be rectified. There's room to put in just about any engine and transaxle, e.g. a Cadillac Northstar V-8.
