Did you soap up (or otherwise lube) the bushings? That helps them go in
easier, maybe straighter?

Started a job Saturday to replace ball joints (upper and lower) lower

It was going better than planed at firts, got the upper new control
arms installed, got the old ball joints pounded out of the
knuckles, and the new ones pressed in .(spring compressor and ball
joint press rented from Rusty (well - Tom Rusty is in our prayers)..
then came the lower control arms, removed pushed out the old bushing
and then (failure) I as of yet have been unable to completely install
the new lower control arm bushings. I got the center piece in and one
of the ends went on but the other end always would miss-aline and I
can not get it to go on straight. I started the job by using running
thread and bolts, washers, sockets and the like. but the last end
would not go on, spent 2 hours at a neighborers, using a press, in the
end I trashed the bushing.
Ant known tricks, the MB wkis have some exotic tooling ...
Does any one in the Dallas Texas aered know on an Indy shop that would
install bushings in controlars that were delivered (with out the car)?
